Difficulty[edit | edit source]
- With four colours it is easier to make special candies, but the restricted board space makes this difficult.
- The restricted board space also means that cascades do not occur frequently.
- It is impossible to make wrapped candies manually without destroying frosting. Even after that, it is very hard to do so.
- There are double jellies underneath the five-layered frosting.
- It is hard to clear the five-layered frosting squares because there is limited space to make adjacent matches. The bottom square is particularly difficult, because after an adjacent match is made, it takes a few moves for candies to fill the area again.
- 10-move candy bombs will spawn from the cannons. Although there are few, these bombs are hard to remove on this board.
- The jellies are worth 26,000 points,[1] which is more than the one-star target score.
Stars[edit | edit source]
Strategy[edit | edit source]
- Your best laid plans might well be confounded by a lack of moves and a shuffle, so speculative, long-term planning is pretty pointless.
- Initially, focus on the frosting. The topmost frosting square is the most critical, because it will allow the inner part of the board to fill with candies, creating opportunities to clear the other frosting squares from the inside. The bottom square is the next most important because it takes a few moves for candies to fill the adjacent spaces after each match. If matches are not available
- Once the top frosting is clear, try to make moves which clear the jelly as well as the other frosting squares, giving priority to the frosting, as there are jellies beneath it.
- In this level, any move which immediately clears a layer from one of the frosting squares is preferable to creating special candies, because the latter are often set off, either accidentally or by forced moves, in less-than-useful places.
- The colour bomb is an exception that it may hit two or more frosting squares at once.
