Level 2740 is the fifth level in Pearly Parlor and the 402nd mixed mode level (262nd jelly-ingredients). To pass this level, you must clear 23 single and 24 double jelly squares and collect 1 cherry in 35 moves or fewer. When you complete the level, Sugar Crush is activated and will score you additional points.
Difficulty
- A five colour board makes it possible to create special candies, but this is more difficult during initial gameplay, when the space is very limited.
- Locked Multilayered icing covers most of the jelly squares and blocks the ingredient path. The use of special candies is required on each of these squares, to break the lock.
- Liquorice swirls block the effect of special candies from reaching some of the icing.
- The ingredient can only exit from one column, which is the deepest and most blocked.
- The ingredient can easily end up in a non-exit column, due to a forced match or restricted flow of candies, requiring the player to move it back to the exit column.

Strategy
- Overall, break the top row of icing as soon as possible, concentrate the attack on the central column, and ensure the ingredient is not allowed to move out of its column.
- The first order of business is to break the top row of locked icing. The best bet for this is to make vertical striped candies. When this is not possible, make vertical matches, so that if a stripe is formed in cascade, it will be vertical. Horizontal striped candies are also useful for this, if combined with each other or a Wrapped candy for vertical effect.
- Once the ingredient spawns, if the board is still restricted, watch for possibly matches that would move it to a different column. If a possible move would cause that, try to match the involved candies in different ways, so that you are not forced into it.
- Once the top icing is cracked, focus on the ingredient path. Note that four hits are needed to clear the bottom square of locked icing and thus possibly the ingredient, the first of which must be with a special candy to break the lock. However, before this can be done an additional hit is needed to clear the swirl above the icing.
- Wrapped candies, alone or in a double wrapped combination, are extremely useful in destroying the locks, swirls and icing, but must be used carefully.
- Once the ingredient is on the board, the explosion can make it slide into an adjacent column if a space there is cleared but the ingredient path is not. It may be very difficult to move the ingredient back, given the restricted space, so this is to be avoided at all cost.
- Wrapped candies are most useful if detonated below the ingredient, or in one of the two adjacent columns, where the ingredient will not prevent them from moving down the board to clear the lower icing.
