Level 289 is the fourteenth level in Candy Clouds and the 79th candy order level. To pass this level, you must collect 1 colour bomb, 150 orange candies and 150 purple candies in 36 moves or fewer. When you complete the level, Sugar Crush is activated and will score you additional points.

Difficulty[edit | edit source]

  • The starting available board space is limited and only has two quadrants, making it impossible to create a colour bomb[1].
  • The amount of frosting and liquorice swirls make beginning the level very tedious. It is hard to clear them.
  • The orders are worth 31,000 points,[2] which is more than the one-star target score.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • Break through the frosting as soon as possible. Try and destroy the liquorice swirls as you complete the objective to keep your board open for combinations.

Earning More Stars[edit | edit source]

Difficulty[edit | edit source]

  • The presence of four colours will cause fewer moves to be spent to create special candies. However, it is not that useful till some of the blockers have been cleared.
  • The order is worth 31,000 points. Hence, additional 44,000 points for two stars and additional 84,000 points for three stars have to be earned through matching of candies.
  • The starting available board space is limited and only has two quadrants, making it impossible to create a colour bomb[3].
  • There are plenty of three layer frosting which need to be cleared, reducing the number of moves available to create more powerful special candy combinations such as colour + wrapped candy combinations.
  • The liquorice swirls and the liquorice swirl dispenser compound the problem of clearing the blockers.
  • Once the top three layer frosting are cleared, it is easier to create special candies as there are only four candy colours and the increased board space makes it easier to clear the remaining frosting.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • This is one of the few levels in which the player has to collect a huge amount of candies.
  • In the past, on mobile, this was the only level to exclude blue candies. However, this trend was broken in March 2021 with the release of level 9000.
