Order lock is one of the blockers in Candy Crush Saga. It is frequently found in higher levels. It can appear in any level type, and can vary greatly in order type, order amount, and size. It used to be first introduced in Episode 528, with the first level being level 7896. But due to redesigning, it is unofficially introduced in level 1305.
For the list of levels with this blocker, see here.
To see the number of order locks appearances by order type, see list of Orders.
Properties[]
This blocker seems to resemble an orange picture frame.
To clear this blocker, you must collect all of the orders shown on the lock. The order type and amount varies, depending on the level.
Only preexisting candy orders are tied to the order lock. This means that elements that haven't been required for candy orders before (i.e. coconut wheels, sugar chests, UFOs, etc.) will not be required to unlock order locks (unless those elements become required for candy orders in the future).
Order locks can appear stretched so they cover multiple tiles, similar to Candy Cane Fences and their counterparts. However, every element encased within the order lock's perimeter is locked until the order lock is removed (while elements encased by candy cane fences can still be hit with special candies).
Striped candy and wrapped candy effects do not clear candies in the order lock. A colour bomb does not target candies in order locks. Jelly fish may target candies in the order lock and each of the targeted candy counts as 20 points, but no jelly would be cleared. Special candy effects do not clear jellies enclosed by order lock.
The order lock area has its spaces shaded in dark, like rainbow rapids path.
It's possible for two or more order locks in the same level to require the same element for the order but of a greater quantity than others (i.e. one order lock requiring 10 frosting layers to unlock and the second requiring 20 frosting layers).
Order locks can be moved by conveyor belts, but only if they encase one tile.
Some levels that have candy orders as a requirement to complete the level will also require the same order to unlock order locks (i.e. Level 7896 and Level 7903).

Trivia[]
This is the third destructible blocker that can't be cleared through matching regular candies or special candy effects, the first two being sugar chests (which can only be cleared by collecting sugar keys) and rainbow rapids mold (which can only be cleared when the rainbow rapids reach it).
The order lock is made of caramel laces, according to the King Community.
The order lock can appear in any level type, not just levels with candy orders.
Lucky candies cannot yield elements required to unlock order locks in levels without required candy orders.
Level 8230 is the first level where an element introduced after order locks is required to unlock order locks (the Sour Skull).
An order lock that requires 5 sour skull layers to unlock will function the same way as a skull pedestal that the sour skull cannot land on.
Theoretically, an order lock would be indestructible if the order element required to unlock it didn't spawn, or if it was rendered impossible to fulfil in some way (i.e. if the magic mixer was the only way of spawning the order element and it was destroyed). The latter can be seen in level 8687.
Jelly jars are the first element to be required to unlock order locks before the corresponding order was required as an order needed to complete the level.
It's also possible that order locks are the reason that jelly jars are required for orders. Every level with jelly jars requires the player to destroy them to spawn jelly (regardless of whether or not they are required for orders), making the order redundant. However, since order locks can require jelly jars to unlock, the order can still have some use in certain levels.
Hitting an order lock with a Lollipop Hammer will reduce the number of orders required to unlock it by one (regardless of the order required).
This is one of very few elements to not be unofficially introduced in a previous episode due to redesigning.
Most order locks in recent levels don't occupy multiple tiles. They tend to occupy only 1 tile.
Following the introduction of sour skulls (which were the first blocker to be required to unlock order locks after order locks were introduced, and were required to unlock them nearly a month after they were introduced), all subsequent blockers are required to unlock order locks a week or two after they are introduced.
This is one of the elements to be released across multiple years. Order locks themselves and many types of order locks were introduced in 2020. More types of order locks were introduced in 2021 and 2022 as more orders were introduced.
Though no new orders have been introduced in 2023, there is at least one order that is required for the completion of at least one level that is currently not required to unlock order locks but might be required in the future (the striped candy + striped candy combination order).
There is no order lock that requires other order locks, rainbow rapids moulds, jelly, or ingredients to unlock (most likely because the latter three aren't designated "order elements").
