Super Hard levels, also called thunderstorm levels, are levels officially marked to be a very difficult level by King. They are a proper subset of hexagon levels. They are usually given to the most difficult level in a given episode before the introduction of nightmarishly hard levels. They were introduced on mobile (HTML5) in January 2017; they have never been realized on Flash and are simply hexagon levels here.
Like hexagon levels, the list of thunderstorm levels is dynamic, subject to a roughly weekly update. In difficulty colourings, Super Hard levels feature the thunderstorm emoji (⛈).

History[]
This feature was tested in December 2016 and officially released two months later in February 2017.
At the time of inception, these levels will hide the level type of the corresponding button on the map, marking the level button to an indigo blue colour (deeper than the colour representing Jelly levels). A blue thunderstorm cloud hovers above the level button. The colour scheme of levels will also change to a blue colour, with frequent viking imagery.
Around April Fools 2020, the designs for all hexagon levels have been revamped such that they are always represented as golden skulls alone, above the button. Super Hard levels feature a horned skull.
Starting 2022 March 23, there is no limit on how many levels within an episode that can be designated as "Super Hard."
Sometime after this, the colour scheme was noticeably darkened.
During late April to early May 2025, the colouring scheme of super hard levels was changed to turquoise and midnight green. The skull is now winking and matches the colour scheme rather than being pink, white, or golden. It appears in an animation on the level menu with a bubbling animation.
Trivia[]
- Since June 2018, Tiffi is dressed like a viking.
- After 2022 March 23, each episode has a nightmarishly hard level, a super hard level, neither or even both.
- Thus, super hard level and nightmarishly hard level can co-exist in the same episode.
- There was for some time in early 2025 a glitch that caused Super and Nightmarishly Hard levels to swap colour schemes for their level buttons. The level introduction and in-level sidebars retained their original colours.
